The Bobby Young Project · Tune In
Oakland, CA blues and rock cover/original band formed officially in 1997 by Bobby Young (guitar/vocals) and drummer Latrosse Harris, who had worked together since 1973. Blends traditional and contemporary blues, rock, R&B, and jazz; lineup includes Nick Young (guitar), Greg "Gman" Simmons (bass), and Gig Anderson (keyboards). Won Blues Band of the Year at the Northern California Entertainment Music Awards in 2016 (also nominated 2017, 2018). Bobby Young has recorded/performed with The Natural Four, Sugar Pie DeSanto, and John Lee Hooker. Member band of the Sacramento Blues Society.
