American thrash metal band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1981. Notable for featuring then-unknown bassist Jason Newsted (1981–1986) before he joined Metallica. Have released fifteen studio albums, including 2024's "I Am the Weapon." Current lineup: Eric "A.K." Knutson (vocals), Michael Gilbert and Steve Conley (guitars), Bill Bodily (bass), Ken Mary (drums).
