Julie and the Jukes is a Northern California four-piece playing classic blues -- Chicago-style (Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf), Memphis (B.B. King), and Texas (Freddie King) styles. Fronted by bassist/vocalist Julie (20+ years in blues bands), with Charles 'Chicken Scratch' Oriel and 'Pilsner Bill' Mulvihill on guitars and 'Hound Dog' Dave Gill on drums. The band plays regularly around Davis and greater Sacramento, including Sacramento Blues Society 'Blue Sunday' shows, Shady Lady Saloon, Scribner Bend Vineyards, and the Davis Farmers Market Picnic in the Park. Member band of the Sacramento Blues Society.
