Their sound has evolved dramatically over three decades—from lush baroque indie pop to funk, afrobeat, and electronic experimentation—with Barnes pouring emotional autobiography into surrealist, persona-shifting lyrics. Known for high-energy, theatrical live shows and a prolific output of 20+ albums.
