Oakland, CA-based ensemble making "African Psychedelic Rock" — heavy swinging rhythms, a funky brass section, and cosmic guitar fusing rowdy psych-rock with the analog tape sound of West Africa. Fronted by Mariam Diakite, whose hypnotic vocals deliver lyrics in the Bambara language. Their album "Medicine" is on vinyl, CD and streaming, with "Dakan" announced for 2024. Festival run includes Newport Folk, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Pickathon, and a 2023 European tour.
