American progressive metal band formed in Bellevue, Washington in 1980 (originally Cross+Fire, then The Mob, settling on Queensrÿche in 1982). Often grouped with Dream Theater and Fates Warning as one of progressive metal's "Big Three." Sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, including over six million in the U.S. Catalog includes the landmark concept album "Operation: Mindcrime" (1988).
