Swedish power metal band from Falun, formed 1999. Known for soaring power riffs, distinctive deep vocals from Joakim Brodén, and lyrics centered on historical battles and acts of heroism. Considered one of the "big four" power metal bands alongside Blind Guardian, DragonForce and Helloween. Eleven studio albums as of 2025; Carolus Rex went platinum in Sweden.
