American death metal band from Tampa, FL, formed in 1993 as a side project of Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes and Obituary guitarist Allen West. Became Barnes' primary band after his 1995 departure from Cannibal Corpse. Known for slow, groove-oriented death metal with graphic horror lyrics and a punishing 'death 'n' roll' approach. Prolific output includes the Graveyard Classics cover series. Still active with Barnes as sole founding member.
