Sacramento-area singer-songwriter and guitarist William Mylar has performed since 1977, classically trained and pioneering a self-described "Folk Wave" eclectic acoustic style across a variety of genres. Performs solo and with various backing musicians/bands; hosts a recurring monthly residency, "Mylar's Hippie Hour," at The Torch Club in Sacramento on the first Friday of each month. No connection to James Monroe found on the site. Member band of the Sacramento Blues Society.
