About

August Burns Red is a metalcore institution out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003 and fronted since 2006 by vocalist Jake Luhrs with guitarists JB Brubaker and Brent Rambler, drummer Matt Greiner and bassist Dustin Davidson. The band has earned two Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance — for "Identity" (2016) and "Invisible Enemy" (2018). They co-headline the Springs Horizons Tour with The Amity Affliction — one of Australia's most successful heavy exports, from Gympie, Queensland, with four consecutive #1 ARIA albums. Boundaries and Heavensgate open.

Two heavy hitters of modern metalcore — August Burns Red and The Amity Affliction — on a co-headlining tour stopping at Channel 24.

Channel 24 opened on April 24, 2025, as Another Planet Entertainment's first venue built from the ground up. Located in a former electric supply warehouse at 1800 24th Street, the 2,150-capacity venue fills a critical gap in Sacramento's live music infrastructure - twice the size of Ace of Spades. The name has multiple meanings: "Channel" references both electrical terminology (honoring the building's past) and Sacramento's rivers; "24" marks both the street address and the 24-channel mixing board standard in music production. Opening night featured Tucker Wetmore, with Sacramento native Tycho performing the second show. In March 2026, CAKE (Sacramento's hometown heroes) christened the venue with three consecutive sold-out nights - their first Sacramento shows since 2019. Channel 24 joins APE's prestigious roster including Outside Lands, Greek Theatre, Fox Theater Oakland, and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
