“Barren Path is a US/Japan grindcore project featuring former Gridlink members Takafumi Matsubara and Bryan Fajardo alongside Mitchell Luna of Maruta. The band unleashed their debut full-length "Grieving" via Willowtip Records on October 31, 2025, drawing critical acclaim from outlets like Heavy Blog Is Heavy and Invisible Oranges for its dense, blast-driven assault that sits comfortably between technical grindcore and dissonant death metal. The Sacramento date is part of their West Coast MMXXVI tour, the band's first live run in support of "Grieving."”
