“Between the Buried and Me — often shortened to BTBAM — is an American progressive metal band formed in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2000. The current lineup of vocalist/keyboardist Tommy Giles Rogers Jr., guitarist Paul Waggoner, bassist/keyboardist Dan Briggs, and drummer Blake Richardson has been one of the most stable and respected acts in modern progressive music for over two decades. Starting from metalcore roots, the band steadily expanded their palette to include death metal, jazz, classical, and progressive rock, culminating in their landmark 2007 album Colors — widely regarded as a magnum opus of 21st-century prog metal. Their eleventh studio album, The Blue Nowhere, dropped in September 2025; the spring/summer 2026 headline tour is built around it, and at the Sacramento date they're joined by Imperial Triumphant and Fallujah.”
