About

Bob Moses is the Canadian electronic duo of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance — two Vancouver kids who knew each other loosely in high school, ran into each other again years later in a Lowe's parking lot, and decided to start making music. Based in Vancouver (with early roots in New York), they fuse deep-house and electronica production with live-band songwriting and singer-songwriter melancholy, taking their name from the infamous NYC urban planner Robert Moses. Their 2015 debut Days Gone By produced the Grammy-nominated slow-burner "Tearing Me Up," which won a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording via the RAC rework. Follow-ups Battle Lines (2018) and The Silence in Between (2022) deepened the pairing's cinematic, introspective sound. The Afterglow Tour supports their 2025 material alongside LA dream-pop band Cannons. Cannons are a Los Angeles indie/dream-pop trio — vocalist Michelle Joy, guitarist Ryan Clapham, keyboardist/bassist Paul Davis — whose neon-soaked synthwave reached wide audiences after "Fire for You" went viral via Netflix's Never Have I Ever and topped Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart. Their 2026 album Everything Glows continues the run.

Channel 24 opened on April 24, 2025, as Another Planet Entertainment's first venue built from the ground up. Located in a former electric supply warehouse at 1800 24th Street, the 2,150-capacity venue fills a critical gap in Sacramento's live music infrastructure - twice the size of Ace of Spades. The name has multiple meanings: "Channel" references both electrical terminology (honoring the building's past) and Sacramento's rivers; "24" marks both the street address and the 24-channel mixing board standard in music production. Opening night featured Tucker Wetmore, with Sacramento native Tycho performing the second show. In March 2026, CAKE (Sacramento's hometown heroes) christened the venue with three consecutive sold-out nights - their first Sacramento shows since 2019. Channel 24 joins APE's prestigious roster including Outside Lands, Greek Theatre, Fox Theater Oakland, and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
