“COVEN vs. New Wave Society is a head-to-head goth/dark wave dance night at Old Ironsides — Sacramento's oldest bar and music room — pitting two of the city's longest-running club nights against each other. Club Coven (DJs Keyz & David V.) runs the 4th Saturday goth/post-punk/industrial slot at Old Ironsides, while New Wave Society (DJs Keyz & James) holds down the classic 80s new wave 2nd-Saturday party. When the two crews share a bill, the room runs old-school goth, dark wave, dark electro, 80s/90s industrial, and synth-pop side by side all night.\n\nDJ Keyz — a fixture across Sacramento's goth circuit (Club Necromancy, New Wave Society, Absolution) — is on the decks for the May 30 edition.”
