“(Hed) p.e. is an American rapcore group formed in 1994 in Huntington Beach, California, by frontman Jahred and guitarist Wes Geer. Emerging from the Orange County hardcore punk scene, they pioneered a sound that fused punk, metal, hip-hop, and reggae well before genre-blending was fashionable. After signing with Jive Records and releasing a self-titled debut in 1997, the band broke through with their second album 'Broke' (2000), landing them on the Ozzfest tour alongside Korn and System of a Down. Their third album 'Blackout' (2003) remains their commercial peak. In a career spanning nearly three decades and more than a dozen studio albums, (Hed) p.e. has never stopped recording or touring — outlasting the nu-metal wave by leaning into the live show, where Jahred's command of the crowd and the band's genre-hopping energy continue to draw in new generations of fans.”
