The Human League with Soft Cell & Alison Moyet at Hard Rock Live Sacramento
About
“The Human League are an English synth-pop band formed in Sheffield in 1977 — one of the foundational acts in electronic pop. The original lineup paired vocalist Philip Oakey with synth players Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware (who later left to form Heaven 17) and visual director Adrian Wright. Oakey then assembled a new lineup with singers Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley plus Ian Burden and Jo Callis — the configuration that recorded the 1981 album Dare and its global #1 single "Don't You Want Me," one of the best-selling UK singles of all time and a defining record of the early MTV era. The trio of Oakey, Catherall, and Sulley has continued to lead the band through six top-20 UK albums and 13 top-20 UK singles, with worldwide sales topping 20 million. The 2026 Generations Tour with Soft Cell and Alison Moyet marks their first coast-to-coast U.S. tour since 2011.”
