“Hunx and His Punx is the highly melodic, queercore garage-punk band fronted by Seth Bogart, who started the project in San Francisco/Oakland in 2008 after years in the cult dance act Gravy Train!!!! Pulling from 1960s girl-group pop, bubblegum, and street punk, the core lineup centers on Bogart, Shannon Shaw (Shannon and the Clams), and drummer Erin Emslie. Their early "Gay Singles" comp and 2011 LP "Too Young to Be in Love" made them touchstones of underground queer rock; 2013's "Street Punk" pushed harder and faster. After a long hiatus, the band returned with "Walk Out on This World" (Get Better Records, 2025). Pitchfork once dubbed Bogart the "New King of Camp."”
