About

Maia Sharp is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter (originally from California's Central Valley) whose songs have been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, The Chicks, Trisha Yearwood, Cher, Art Garfunkel, Keb' Mo', Terri Clark, and Lisa Loeb, among many others. The daughter of songwriter Randy Sharp, she came up in the LA music business before relocating to Nashville in 2019. Across nine solo records — most recently "Mercy Rising" — plus the duo project Roscoe & Etta and a collaborative LP with Art Garfunkel and Buddy Mondlock, her literate, mood-driven Americana has long shared a kinship with Raitt's catalog. Sharp has been opening for Raitt off and on since 2005.

Singer-songwriter Maia Sharp plays back-to-back sold-out nights at Channel 24.

Channel 24 opened on April 24, 2025, as Another Planet Entertainment's first venue built from the ground up. Located in a former electric supply warehouse at 1800 24th Street, the 2,150-capacity venue fills a critical gap in Sacramento's live music infrastructure - twice the size of Ace of Spades. The name has multiple meanings: "Channel" references both electrical terminology (honoring the building's past) and Sacramento's rivers; "24" marks both the street address and the 24-channel mixing board standard in music production. Opening night featured Tucker Wetmore, with Sacramento native Tycho performing the second show. In March 2026, CAKE (Sacramento's hometown heroes) christened the venue with three consecutive sold-out nights - their first Sacramento shows since 2019. Channel 24 joins APE's prestigious roster including Outside Lands, Greek Theatre, Fox Theater Oakland, and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
