“Maria Jose "Majo" Aguilar Carrillo (born 1994 in Mexico City) is a Mexican singer and songwriter carrying forward the Aguilar ranchera dynasty. She is the daughter of Antonio Aguilar hijo, granddaughter of Mexican Golden Age stars Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, niece of Pepe Aguilar, and cousin of Angela and Leonardo Aguilar. Signed to Universal Music Group, her 2021 single "No voy a llorar" hit #1 on the Billboard Mexico Popular Airplay chart, and she's earned two Latin Grammy nominations. Her debut EP Tributo (2017) paid homage to her grandparents.”
