“Missing Persons is the American new wave band founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and drummer Terry Bozzio — all alums of Frank Zappa's circle, joined by bassist Patrick O'Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild. Their 1982 debut album Spring Session M (an anagram of 'Missing Persons') went gold and produced four Billboard Hot 100 singles: 'Destination Unknown,' 'Words,' 'Walking in L.A.,' and 'Windows.' Dale Bozzio's distinctive voice and avant-garde looks made the band MTV staples in the early '80s, cementing their place in new wave history. The band has reunited multiple times in the years since, with the current touring lineup led by Dale Bozzio.”
