“Pat Metheny is a 20-time Grammy Award-winning jazz guitarist and composer — the only artist to have won Grammys in ten different categories. Born in Lee's Summit, Missouri in 1954, he joined Gary Burton's group at 19 and released his landmark debut Bright Size Life in 1975, redefining the possibilities of jazz guitar with his horn-like phrasing and rhythmic fluidity. He has sold more than 20 million records and was inducted into the DownBeat Hall of Fame in 2015.\n\nSide-Eye is a project Metheny founded in New York in 2019 to spotlight evolving jazz talent. On this 2026 tour behind Side-Eye III+ — his first major studio release in six years and the first on his new label Uniquity Music — he is joined by Joe Dyson (drums), Chris Fishman (piano), and Jermaine Paul (bass).”
