About
“SMUT is an indie rock band that formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2014 and is now based in Chicago. Built around vocalist/lyricist Tay Roebuck with guitarists Andie Min and Sam Ruschman, bassist John Steiner, and drummer Aidan O'Connor, the band emerged from Cincinnati's DIY scene before making their Bayonet Records full-length debut, "How the Light Felt." Their 2025 follow-up, "Tomorrow Comes Crashing," channels years of touring, lineup changes, and personal upheaval into a re-energized shoegaze-leaning sound. The May 22 Boardwalk stop pairs SMUT's West Coast run with Sacramento metal trio Serpent From Eden — who use this date as a hometown live launch for their Nick Menza tribute album (featuring Megadeth alumni Chris Poland and David Ellefson) — and local act Arch Elders opening.”
Chicago indie/shoegaze outfit SMUT headlines The Boardwalk in Orangevale with locals Serpent From Eden and Arch Elders supporting.
