About
“Sun Kil Moon is the long-running indie folk project led by Mark Kozelek, vocalist and primary songwriter behind Red House Painters. Founded in San Francisco in 2002 and named after the Korean boxer Sung-Kil Moon, the band has built a deeply autobiographical, slow-burning catalog over two decades — anchored by 2003's acclaimed Ghosts of the Great Highway and 2014's Benji, widely listed among that decade's best records.\n\nThe June 5 stop at The Boardwalk in Orangevale puts Kozelek's quiet-but-relentless lyricism in an intimate suburban room — doors 7pm, show at 8pm.”
Mark Kozelek brings Sun Kil Moon to the suburban listening-room intimacy of The Boardwalk — long-form indie folk in a 100%-to-charity venue.
