“A local heavy showcase at The Boardwalk under the "Wake the Beast" banner, anchored by Sacramento groove-metal veterans Gentlemen of Tragedy. With over seven years of grinding through the 916 circuit, the Gentlemen pull rock and punk riffs through a funk-heavy swing, with soulful hooks and melodies tracing back to Queens of the Stone Age, Helmet, Soulfly, Faith No More, Pantera, Deftones, and Will Haven. They've supported national acts like DRI, Soulfly, and Hed P.E., and released the "Heavy Handed" EP in partnership with SacraMetal Records after adding drummer Lawson Smith in late 2023. Direct support comes from Hate Primer, with DJ Bunz holding down the turntables between sets.”
