Aftershock 2026 Will Be the Biggest Yet: My Chemical Romance, Tool, and 140+ Bands Coming to Discovery Park

The West Coast's largest rock festival returns Oct. 1–4 with its most extensive lineup ever, a fifth stage, and — for the first time — camping.

Sacramento's biggest music weekend just got bigger. Aftershock's 2026 lineup runs more than 140 artists across five stages, Oct. 1–4 at Discovery Park, with a different headliner closing each night: My Chemical Romance on Thursday, Limp Bizkit on Friday, Pierce the Veil on Saturday, and Tool on Sunday.

The nightly bills go deep. Thursday pairs My Chemical Romance, playing 20 years of The Black Parade, with The Offspring and Sublime. Friday stacks Limp Bizkit over Wu-Tang Clan and $uicideboy$. Saturday runs Pierce the Veil with A Day to Remember and BABYMETAL. Sunday closes on Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, and a Danny Elfman set.

The undercard reads like a festival of its own: AFI, The Used, Stone Temple Pilots, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, Body Count, Killswitch Engage, Melvins, Coheed and Cambria, and dozens more. The special sets are the collector's items: Circa Survive's West Coast reunion, Kylesa's first West Coast show since 2015, From First to Last's West Coast reunion, and Cavalera playing Sepultura's Roots front to back.

The Sacramento angle is the one to watch. Oleander, the Sacramento alt-rock band, plays a hometown reunion billed as their first local show since 2018. Dance Gavin Dance, born here, takes a NorCal-exclusive slot, and The Story So Far and DRAIN bring the hometown-play tag. For a city whose biggest rock export is the festival itself, the bill keeps circling back to its own.

Organizers are calling it the largest Aftershock ever assembled, with that fifth stage and an enlarged footprint. And for the first time in the festival's history, camping is on the table. Campers pitch at Cal Expo rather than Discovery Park, with grounds opening Wednesday, Sept. 30 and a pre-party the night before the gates. Two-day passes are now on sale alongside the four-day, single-day, and VIP tiers.

We'll keep tracking the local threads as October gets closer: which Sacramento acts fill out the undercard, and what the weekend means for the clubs.

Updated June 28, 2026: corrected the special-sets list. An earlier version listed The Dillinger Escape Plan, Chiodos, and Get Scared as reunions. Dillinger and Get Scared are not on the 2026 bill, and Chiodos plays without a reunion billing. Added the nightly headliner breakdown, the Sacramento reunions, and the camping details.
