This weekend still has two days of music: 25 listings, 18 on Saturday and 7 on Sunday, including two DJ dance nights. Saturday afternoon is Sac Porchfest, free, on the porches of Boulevard Park. Sunday, Elvin Bishop and Charlie Musselwhite share the Crest stage. LUXT's comeback show at The Boardwalk in Orangevale was Friday night; watch our story on their return, filmed at their rehearsal. Below: three places to start, more picks by day, then every listing in time order. Times are show times from venue listings unless marked, and doors are usually earlier. Lineups and times can change, so confirm with the venue before you head out.

Start here

1. Sac Porchfest, Saturday, 1 to 10 PM (per the organizers), Boulevard Park. Free, all ages. Lineup and details. A $10 donation is suggested, for the Mustard Seed School. Year 11, with 13 bands on porches near I Street and 21st Street: Pomegranate Sunday, Synthesaurio, Blu Egyptian, Mammoth Motel, KC Shane and The Belonging, Lewd Jaw, J Kent, Dogpatch, Crash Babes, Aphids as Lovers, Prime Society, Spencer Kilpatrick and The Sand Gators, and Acid Brass. Thirteen bands in one afternoon, free, on porches in one neighborhood.

2. TRAITRS: Possessor Tour, with Holy Water, Saturday, 8 PM (doors 7), The Starlet Room. Tickets via Etix. All ages. Price at the link. Post-punk and darkwave, the listing says. If you want one dark-music night out this weekend, this is it, and it is all ages.

3. Elvin Bishop & Charlie Musselwhite Duo, Sunday, 7 PM (doors 6), Crest Theatre. $40–85. Tickets via Ticketmaster. Two long-time blues names sharing one stage in a duo set, in a downtown room that holds about 975. A 7 PM start, so you are home at a sensible hour on a Sunday.
