About
“Mason Jennings is a Hawaii-born, Pittsburgh-raised, Minneapolis-forged folk-pop singer-songwriter who self-produced his 1997 self-titled debut on a four-track in his living room — playing every instrument himself. Within two years, the Mason Jennings Band was running a now-legendary weekly residency at Minneapolis's 400 Bar and was voted top of City Pages' "Picked to Click" poll. After signing to Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock's Glacial Pace label in 2005 and later Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records, Jennings became one of indie folk's most quietly prolific writers, with the standout track "Be Here Now" from 2006's "Boneclouds" cemented as his signature song. He carries a star on the First Avenue mural — Minneapolis's highest live-music honor.”
Veteran indie folk songwriter Mason Jennings closes out May with a Starlet Room show.
